Asian affair at Quinn Insurance British Masters

Singh confirms his play at The Belfry
With an Olympic sprinter as a father, Singh’s sporting heritage has seen him succeed year on year. Singh already has two titles to his name this year – the Bank Austria GolfOpen and the Japanese Tour’s Sammy SEGA Cup. He performed well in the final Major of the year, the US PGA Championship, finishing 9th overall and will be one to watch at the event. Jeev said ‘I have had a successful season so far. I have been working hard and I always want to win tournaments so I hope to be challenging at The Belfry. I’m pleased that golf is increasingly popular in my home country and it’s an honour to be able to contribute to that.’
SSP Chowrasia pulled off a surprise win at the Indian Masters earlier this year and will make his Quinn Insurance British Masters debut in September looking to join stablemates Darren Clarke and Richard Finch as a European Tour double winner.
Shiv Kapur is returning to The Belfry this year with a hunger for success. He will be looking for a strong finish to secure his European Tour playing privileges for 2009.
Jyoti Randhawa, who is married to Bollywood actress Tina Singh, is hoping to be one of the stars in this year’s Quinn Insurance British Masters. Randhawa is a stalwart of the European Tour with 14 years of experience in the paid ranks.
Thongchai Jaidee, the first Thai player to win on the European Tour at the 2004 Malaysian Open, is predicted to be a force to be reckoned with at the tournament this year. Jaidee will be looking to build in his top 20 finish at the KLM Dutch Open.
Andrew ‘Chubby’ Chandler, Managing Director of promoters International Sports Management said: “These announcements just demonstrate the wealth of international talent the Quinn Insurance British Masters attracts year on year. We’re delighted to welcome such quality Asian players as golf grows in stature across their continent.”
