Shape Up At The Quinn Direct British Masters

Thu, 13 Apr 2006 - 02:35 GMT
With less than four weeks until the start of The Quinn Direct British Masters, spectators can look forward to the best of British golf while keeping themselves fit in the process.

Golf is renowned for its long fairways, brisk walks and fresh air, and a day spent following the star players on the Brabazon course at The De Vere Belfry could burn up to 840 calories*.

Taking a break from the ‘on course’ action can be healthy too – with a selection of freshly prepared Tapas available, along with the opportunity for individuals to practise their swing in the longest drive competition and test their skills on the putting green.

However, with The FA Cup final kicking off on Saturday 13 May, some may be torn between a day following the action at The De Vere Belfry and an afternoon spent on front of their television sets. But promoters of The Quinn Direct British Masters are making the choice much simpler, and will finish the day’s golfing action early at 2.30pm in time for the 3pm kick-off which will be broadcast on the big screen in the tented village to complete a great sports day out.

After a day spent strolling alongside the fairways watching some of the world’s top golfers, including Michael Campbell, Thomas Björn, Darren Clarke, David Howell, Lee Westood, Paul McGinley, Padraig Harrington and Ian Poulter, spectators can make their way to the tented village to watch the match screened live.

Andrew “Chubby” Chandler, Managing Director of promoters International Sports Management said; “Attending a top golf tournament such as The Quinn Direct British Masters is a superb experience, especially as you can keep yourself fit and healthy whilst watching the action out on course!”

So why not get in shape and book your tickets for The Quinn Direct British Masters by calling 01782 741956 or by visiting our tickets page, and get set for five days of outstanding golf, as the drama unfolds from Thursday 11 May to Sunday 14 May, with a Pro-Am day on 10 May.

The Quinn Direct British Masters 2006 will take place at The De Vere Belfry at Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield, which has been four-time host to the Ryder Cup. This event will see the return of top level European Tour golf to the venue along with many of its biggest stars.

Pre-booked day tickets will be discounted by an amazing 25% and those wishing to pre-book season tickets will receive a free event branded cap. To purchase event corporate hospitality packages at The Quinn Direct British Masters please call 01565 832121.
